English Skill for Employability : Setting Common Standards

 

Employability is a vital issue for India. Language and Communication Skills are a key foundation to employability, this report addresses the need for it in the Indian Skills Development endeavors and systems. It makes recommendations for an India-specific framework for language and identifies an A0 (A-Zero) sub CEFR level of English Language Skills for Employability in India as a first rung for non-English users to gain employment and meet its requirements in context.
