Let’s Learn Artificial Intelligence Step-Up Module Launched by Niti Aayog
PROGILENCE proudly saw the launch of the Step-Up Module for Let’s Learn Artificial Intelligence developed by us, for Niti Aayog, Government of India and NASSCOM. The Module followed the successful implementation and launch of the Base Module in February 2020 that saw widespread acknowledgement of its simple to use and highly effective technology pedagogy along with its attractively laid out content.
The modules are being used by Atal Tinkering Labs across Indian Schools, which are in the vicinity of 7000 schools currently. These are expected to go up. The modules are hosted at the ATL website and can be accessed by anyone.
The Step-Up module was also developed through interactions with Industry and Academia including a few start-ups apart from established players. PROGILENCE MD S Manish Singh and Director Jassi Dimple, led the initiative and briefed the workgroup of the requirements, along with shaping the Curriculum, Content and ensuring the whole module comes together. The module was launched by Mr. Amitabh Kant, CEO, Niti Aayog and Ms. Debjani Ghosh, President NASSCOM. The workgroup members included senior representatives from Micro:Bit Foundation – HongKong, SAP Labs, Amazon India, Microsoft, Accenture, STEMpedia, GE Healthcare, Wipro, IndiaAI, NASSCOM, Tech Mahindra among others. The launch was an eLaunch given the current COVID restrictions and was followed up by a webinar among top contributors, NASSCOM and Niti Aayog hosted by the Atal Innovation Mission.
Mr. Ramanan Ramanathan, Mission Director, AIM played host to the webinar which had PROGILENCE MD S Manish Singh, along with representatives from NASSCOM, Accenture, Microsoft, IndiaAI and Micro:Bit Foundation.
During the Webinar, Manish Singh expressed the desire for a framework of outcomes for technology education in Indian Schools that can guide a cohesive and well planned approach to introducing technology education and making real progress in it.
